Have you ever thought about hiring a professional organizer, or you just want to know how it works? While each person is a little different, there are some basic steps that most organizers go through. Here is how the process looks when you work with me.
- We have an approximately 15 minute call, either on the phone or via Zoom, whichever you prefer. This allows me to find out your goals and needs, as well as figure out an estimate of what will be needed to help you fulfill those goals and needs. During this call, I also will be able to give you your rate, which varies based on: a. Whether it is virtual or in-person, and b. What type of work there is to be done, i.e. cleaning out a full basement, reorganizing a bedroom, or helping sort and pack for a move.
- Once you determine if this will work for you, we schedule your first appointment. This can be in-person (as long as you are within 1 hour of North Canton, Ohio), or virtually via Zoom, or Google Meet.
If We Are In-Person
- We take a quick tour of the space so I can get my bearings. Then you can either work along side me, or I can do the work primarily on my own.
- I remove all items that do not belong in the space.
- I sort the remaining items by category.
- Then you go through the items, deciding what you will donate, throw away and keep. I guide you through this process, if needed.
- I then organize as much as possible with items you already have.
- For any items you still need solutions for, we discuss what type of items you prefer, and I measure each space.
- If needed, I purchase organization items for you.
- Again, if needed, I return to finish those pieces of the organization, and apply the FREE labels I offer for your organization items.
- I check back in at a later date, based on our discussion, to see if you need any further help or information.
If We Are Virtual
- You show me your space and give me a little more specifics on what is there and, if needed, more details on your goals and needs for the space.
- We discuss solutions for the space.
- You can choose whether to have me stay online through the process, or to begin the process on your own.
- The schedule for this varies greatly based on your needs and choices for help. I will always check back in to make sure you are getting what you need and adjust for you, as needed.
While the schedule seems shorter for virtual, you go through the same steps, just on your own with me cheering you on.
