Linen and Toiletry Organization

We have been in our house for about 8 years. When we moved in I organized our linen closet, but over time our needs have changed and the area has become jumbled. I have gone through the medication about once a year, but it was time to grab some new tools and get everything in place. So I got to work.

Start with a bag for trash, a bag or box for items to giveaway, and a bag or box for items to keep. After it is determined what items are being kept, those items are separated into categories.

Determine what bins, totes, and trays you already have. While everyone would love to go and start with all new solutions, that isn’t practical or budget-conscious. Here are a few simple tips on how to get those ideas flowing and hopefully help you get things organized as well.

While I would love to start with all new solutions, that isn’t practical or budget-conscious. So, I assessed what I had and then just purchased a few new bins and other items to complete it. Here are a few simple tips on how simple solutions to get those ideas flowing and hopefully help you to get things organized as well.

Some ideas for linens, toiletries, and more.

The sheets were falling everywhere, so I found these bags, one per bedroom, & then used clear shipping tape & an index card to label them.

Keeping the towels upright & in order is easy with these simple shelf separators. I also use these on my clothes closet shelves. https://amzn.to/410qDJb

I prefer plastic bins and drawers with clear fronts for toiletries. I can see what is in them, but it keeps them in order.

A tall bin is perfect for all of those hair tools. A felt bin like this one works great for both style & function. The tools can still be stored when they are a little warm.

Plastic trays or bins work great for toiletries & possible spills. Add some S hooks & you can keep items that otherwise would fall to the bottom in sight. https://amzn.to/3sVHMY1

Wipeable bins like this one add a stylish aspect to their function. Spills wipe up quickly & the open top allows for an easy view of what is in them.
