We All Need Hugs

If ever there was a time we could all use a hug, it is now. Between months away from people outside of our own homes and all the nastiness and hate we have watched unfold (and hopefully not participated in), a hug can go a long way toward mending fences and making us all feel better!

A HUG:

  • reduces stress.
  • reduces pain.
  • lowers our blood pressure.
  • strengthens the immune system.
  • helps heal feelings of loneliness, isolation and anger.
  • boosts self-esteem.
  • relaxes your muscles.

There are so many benefits, and if you add in a little laughter, there are so many more. So, whether you are only seeing the people in your house, or you have a little bit bigger circle, find someone to hug. And do it at least once a day. You, and the people around you, will be better for it.
